CCIAI: Cybersecurity, Critical Infrastructure, and Artificial Intelligence

The Commission for Railway Regulation (CRR) has formally established the Cybersecurity, Critical Infrastructure, and Artificial Intelligence (CCIAI) division. Our purpose is to support a national oversight function regulating cybersecurity, physical resilience, and artificial intelligence within the rail and cableway transport sectors. Operating as a technically specialised State body, the CRR contributes directly to Ireland’s implementation of European regulations. Integrating these new regulatory functions ensures that essential societal and economic services maintain enhanced resilience.
